ACT 290: Cost Accounting

This is an exciting course that prepares you to determine product costs that enable the preparation of meaningful financial statements and other management reports. The accounting functions relative to materials, labor, and factory overhead are treated in detail. Job order and process cost systems are fully explored. Standard cost systems, budgeting, and managerial control functions are also discussed. Upon completion you will have a grasp of the fundamentals of cost accounting techniques within an organization.
