GRD 1104 ETHICS IN GRIEF COUNSELING
COURSE OVERVIEW: Welcome to GRD 1104, Ethical Issues in Counseling. This course is part of the Accelerated Doctorate in Grief Counseling program at Breyer State University. It is a 6-hour semester course that must be completed within 6 weeks. The aim of this course is provide students with an overview of major ethical issues in counseling and how to handle a variety of situations in practice, including self-awareness, multicultural sensitivity, legal issues, confidentiality, boundaries,
multiple relationships, issues surrounding consultation and supervision, and a selection of ethical issues related to work with couples, families, groups and communities.
Please bear in mind that this is an accelerated program, so you will find the course to be fast-paced and the workload a bit more intense than what is typical in a regular program.
