Information Sheet on our Master of Science in Education Degree program.

Thank you for your interest in our online Master of Science Degree program in Education (MS,Ed). Very few (distance program) opportunities exist today for educators to acquire their graduate level education through online courses and obtain the MS,Ed. degree. Breyer State University is proud to offer a new "Innovative" online distance education degree program leading to the Master of Science Degree in Education. Our degree program consists of seven core courses and various specialty track courses, which are listed below:

1. EDU 520 Educational Psychology 5 hrs
2. EDU 530 Theories of Development: Concepts and Applications 5 hrs
3. EDU 540 Human Diversity in Education 5 hrs
4. EDU 560 Foundations of Education 5 hrs
5. EDU 570 The Uses of Technology in Education 5 hrs
6. EDU 580 Philosophy of Education 5 hrs
7. EDU 590 Education Assessment 5 hrs

The above seven (7) core courses are required for all students in the degree program. Upon successful completion of the core courses, students will select one of the following five ( 5) specialty tracks.

Elementary Education Track

Courses in this curriculum are to be taken in sequence as above.

TUITION: $500.00 per course. Students may register and pay for one course at a time.

* Note: cost of tuition does not include cost of text books.

** There is also a one time $ 50.00 admission processing fee.

Course Completion Times: Students are permitted 10 weeks to complete an online course. This may be extended with the permission of the instructor.

Upon successful completion of all nine courses, you will be conferred the degree "Master of Science in Education " and may use the initials, "MS,Ed." after your name. Your specialty track will also appear on your diploma and official transcripts.

The MS,Ed. Degree prepares you for a successful career in a specialty area in Education. This degree program is designed for those who have an undergraduate degree and are already licensed or certified to teach. This curriculum does not meet any type of specific state licensing requirements, or any certification or registration requirements. Students entering this program should already be licensed, registered or certified. If you have any questions regarding your particular state or country licensing laws or regulations, please check with the governmental agency in your area before beginning this curriculum of study.

The MS,Ed. curriculum consists of all core courses in education at the graduate level. All courses are targeted and precise, clear and easy to follow, yet challenging and exciting at the same time. Each course begins with a syllabus from your instructor, followed by course assignments. You will be given five years to complete the MHA program. 1). There are no residency or travel requirements for this degree program.
2). Courses may be registered for and paid for, all at once or one course at a time.
3). You may take more than one course at one time.

5). Tuition does not include the course of required textbooks.
6). To apply for the MS,Ed. Degree Program, you must complete an online enrollment application. This can be done at www.breyerstate.com/apply.htm
7). There is a one-time $50.00 admissions fee. This can be paid by credit card online at our secure server www.breyerstate.com/pay.htm We also accept personal checks and money orders payable to Breyer State University.
8). Requirements for admission to this degree program are an earned bachelors degree in: education, counseling or a related field. The administration may approve other types of undergraduate degrees as meeting requirements for entry into the MS,Ed. degree program.
9). There are no grants or tuition assistant for this program. However, many employers are paying for or reimbursing tuition for studies at Breyer State University. Please check with your own employer's policy on this.
10). Breyer State University will accept transfer credits of completed courses from other universities. Only graduate level credits will be considered for transfer.
11). Upon graduation, your diploma and official transcripts will have Master of Science in Education printed on them. Your specialty area will also be included.
12.) Breyer State University also offers a program whereby you can apply for and receive credits by life/career experiences toward your online degree. 13). Our diplomas are beautifully done by a professional printer. They are a light cream color card stock with blue and black foil ink for lasting quality. The Breyer State University logo is imprinted and our diplomas carry the gold embossed seal of the university. They are contained in a beautiful navy blue leather-like diploma holder with the university logo embossed in gold on the outside cover.
