Our online distance education program offers students the opportunity to study a comprehensive curriculum in the Education Doctoral degree program. Changes in the world of education are motivating many educators to seek advanced degrees. Specializations in education are demanding that more educators be highly qualified in such areas as administration, curriculum development, career counseling, research, assessment, learning disorders, learning methods, and delivery models. Many opportunities in post-secondary education require a doctoral degree for such positions.

Through this program students will learn the skills needed to succeed in this field. All of the courses are focused on the major. This allows students to maximize their learning in the core courses and succeed in their educational and career goals.

Students begin with the study of history of education, international and global of education. Specific courses focus on foundations and research methods used in education. In the higher division courses students choose a degree track to enter and complete a dissertation at the end of their program. These specialty courses allow students maximum opportunities to experience the real world.   Several career fields this degree will prepare you for are:

The prerequisites for this program are: an earned master degree in education or a closely related field. NOTE: This degree does not meet any state or country’s specific requirements for licensing. This degree program is intended for those who have an earned graduate degree in education and are currently appropriately licensed to practice as an educator in their state or country.

The online curriculum offers an innovative approach to higher education. Enrollment is open and students may begin the program at any time. All courses are provided in online classrooms, with on-to-one faculty mentoring. Students also have free access to our comprehensive Study Tactics and Resources Center, with links to subject related websites, online libraries, articles and research assistance. TUITION: $550.00 per course ($650.00 per Doctoral Project course). Students may register and pay for one course at a time.

** There is also a one time $50.00 admission processing fee.

Course Completion Times: Students are permitted 15 weeks to complete an online course. This may be extended with the permission of the instructor.
