SYLLABUS
COURSE OVERVIEW: Welcome to FENG SHUI I, a Bachelor Level course in the curriculum for the degree, Bachelor of Arts Degree program. The primary focus of this course is to understand the basics of Feng Shui principles and the varied forms of the different author’s teachings. This is merely an introductory course to Feng Shui and is not addressing the deeper meaning or application to this scientific manner within energy, nor does this course qualify you to be a Feng Shui consultant. The texts used in this course offer comprehensive and clear introductory and traditional concepts to comprehend an effective way to bring harmony into your home and office on a basic level. Expect to find a variety of teachings to improve energy flow using geography, design and beauty to promote positive energy and correct imbalances. The ancient science of Body Feng Shui is addressed to understand the health relation of the five elements. This course will also unravel a wide range of various media that engage in the exploration of aesthetic and practical consideration in unique benefits in everyday life. The program prepares students to appreciate and understand the process of the ancient Chinese art of energy placement and the importance of the human body.
NOTE: Feng Shui is an ancient science that dates back at least 3,500 years ago in the roots of China. Feng Shui views the universe in that all things on earth are categorized within the five elements being wood, water, fire, earth and metal, while taking on the implications of negative or positive energy. Translated, Feng Shui literally means “wind- water.” Feng Shui is a science and not a ‘magical ritual’ to perform a ‘magical-spell’ at a command. The power of intention is great, and so are the compass directions within the power of Feng Shui.
